Thompson Electric Sign Company opened its doors in 1941. From its humble beginnings, we have grown to be a competitive part of the sign industry providing service to the Gulf Coast Area. From Texas to Florida, we have provided our customers with the most innovative and technologically sound sign products available to the industry.
We have the capabilities to design, manufacture, install and service all types of signs available to the industry.Our design staff can design the most effective sign for our clients’ needs. Our team of highly trained fabricators can then begin work on the sign, following guidelines set by Underwriters Laboratories to ensure the highest quality product available to the industry.
Our 12,000 sq ft manufacturing facility, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, allows us to be one of the most complete facilities in the South.
We can manufacture

- internally illuminated sign cabinets
- and a complete line of vinyl graphics.
We also provide our customers with the latest technological advances like LED lighting and Electronic Message Centers to keep their target audience informed on a moments notice.
Once construction is complete on a sign, we have one of the most extensive installation fleets available in the Gulf Coast Area.
Our fleet of installation vehicles includes:
- hydraulic truck cranes
- bucket trucks
- auger trucks
- and dump trucks.
Our trucks can reach from 35 ft to 165 ft in height. From foundation to the final electrical connections, we complete any installation tasks for any type of sign product.
